Hello,

my old sofa is now several years old and naturally doesn’t look very new anymore. A friend advised me to clean the sofa (microfiber) with carpet foam. What do you think about this? Do you know other cleaning methods?

Hello,
my wife used shaving foam on our sofa. It looks like new again.

Yes, you can definitely do that. However, you should be careful to avoid any residues. Personally, I have also been more against using chemicals. But a much more practical solution would be to get new covers for your sofa. That way, it will look like new!

I would definitely recommend making a new cover just to be safe, because your sofa might not have exactly the same fabric as the one that was cleaned with shaving foam or something similar, and then a designer sofa could end up looking like a surfboard 🙂

Nowadays, there are websites for everything. But I also know that trick with shaving foam. My mother taught me that.
