Hello
We just installed laminate flooring and want it to look good for as long as possible. How should we clean it properly? There are so many cleaning products available that it’s hard to know which ones are actually good. We also have a steam cleaner – can I use it for cleaning, or is it better not to? What do you think?

You don’t clean laminate flooring with a steam cleaner. I wipe it with a damp cloth. If there is stubborn dirt, which rarely happens, I use a special cleaner. The parquet manufacturer recommended this to me. Use only a small amount, as less is often more.

This is how we really enjoy our parquet flooring.

A steam cleaner is definitely not an option, as it can damage laminate flooring. I sweep up the dirt first, then lightly mop. I add a small amount of dish soap to the mop water. For stubborn spots, I clean by hand using a special cleaner.
