wiltshire11 Aug 2025 08:47I was also thinking about stone. If it is slate: do not use acidic or alkaline cleaning agents. Water is best. Avoid waterlogging. You can sometimes remove old stains with a poultice. Once stains have fully set, you can either accept them as a patina or consult a stone restoration specialist.
