Häusle77Hello,
we received an offer from our general contractor to upgrade our 11 x 9 m (36 x 30 ft) house with a 45° gable roof.
Instead of concrete roof tiles (Braas Harzer Pfanne), clay roof tiles (Erlus E58Sl) will be installed.
What would be a reasonable price increase, and how good are these tiles compared to the concrete ones?
We are being asked to pay 2500€ more...

What surcharge would be justified and how good are the stones or bricks? The surcharge should always be the amount you think it’s worth paying 😉The additional cost mainly comes from the handling on site and the higher breakage rate compared to the commonly used concrete roof tiles.
