Hello everyone!

I would like to hear your opinions on our long-prepared floor plan, so I’m starting a new thread just before submitting the building permit / planning permission with the current design of our single-family house.

These are the preliminary drafts for the building permit / planning permission, and this is my last chance to review everything and point out any issues.

Basically, everything fits our needs, but before finalizing the detailed planning, there is still some flexibility and the floor plan might be adjusted.

I would be very grateful for your suggestions, ideas, and criticism!

Greetings from Leipzig!

Already eight pages and no one has said: "Skip the fireplace, it just costs money and effort, and you won’t have space for firewood in the living room anyway (even though it’s so large)."

So many things don’t add up anymore.

The fireplace seems to be a must-have. So why should it be removed? Unfortunately, the plan does not match the pictures, just like the entrance does not please the original poster.
The house is large enough to accommodate both wishes.

There are now two options:
Redesign, or
with an investment of 500,000 euros + X, live in a way that we did not envision.

Why? If someone wants a fireplace, they should have one.
We love ours

Why?
It’s not necessary. It’s expensive. It takes up space. It creates dirt. It requires maintenance. It limits planning options. It makes the house too warm. It’s rarely used.

But this has already been discussed here several times. I just wanted to offer another point to consider that could influence the planning of the kitchen/living area.

I cannot agree with any of that.

However, there’s no need to question any sliding door, bathtub, stove, or pantry if the preferences are individual.
It is also pointless to put the cart before the horse—this is primarily about implementing a house design.
That the original poster (OP) has difficulty reading 2D plans and therefore the stove corner doesn’t look the same as in the photo is a different matter, which @Climbee explained quite well. And that doesn’t mean you have to give it up.
