I am currently planning a new build including the garden.
Now the question is where to place the rainwater tank.
The tank will be used only for the garden.
Here you can see the plan:

I have marked the possible locations with numbers 1 to 3.
What would be the best position for this, assuming it is only used to water the garden?
Thanks in advance.

nordanney28 Aug 2013 15:17The placement doesn’t really matter. I know some families who have simply installed the cistern under the terrace.
What’s important is that the rainwater has a proper (and cost-effective) supply line to the cistern, and that you also have short distances to the tapping point.

By now, I have also learned that collecting all the water is not required.
For the driveway, fortunately, it is enough to just direct the water into the sewer, otherwise I would have a problem with option 3.
