The calm before the storm... we are enjoying the glow of the lights before the family arrives. Our grandchild wished for a doll’s bed for their teddy bear. It was too late to order one, so we built it ourselves. Notice the removable slatted base. The down pillow and duvet, as well as the mattress, were also handmade. A green bunny with a big nose already tried it out. The gift was a total hit.
For the Christmas goose dinner, we were 14 people, so we expanded our dining area with an extra table and benches. The wicker sofa was moved to the living room in the meantime. We actually found it quite cozy because after the meal everyone could sit comfortably together. After New Year's Eve, we put it back in its place… in front of the half-height room divider again. Our patio furniture remains under the covered terrace. Yes… I do keep things tidy… at least when I take photos and post them online 😉
