ᐅ Choosing a Front Door with Two or Three Panels – Any Recommendations?

Good evening,

we are now choosing between a door with one sidelight or two. It is difficult for us to imagine how it will look, but we tend to prefer one sidelight.

I would choose one side panel. With two side panels, you end up with more frame than glass.

One thing is clear: the width is not enough for two. With 32.5cm (13 inches) minus the frame, there is not much glass left.

Option 2, where I would add another 10cm (4 inches) to the door width if possible.

I think the proportions don’t work with a single-piece design... in my opinion, the side panel is too wide.

I would base it on the hallway 😉

With these dimensions, I would also lean toward having only one side panel (and a few centimeters more door width). The drawing appears to show a patio door without a low threshold (?)
