Hello,
I ordered a cabinet for a standard oven as part of my IKEA Metod kitchen. At what height should the shelf be installed once the cabinet frame is completed, on which the oven will rest?

I received 4 types of hinges. I was able to identify one for the wall cabinets where the doors open upwards.

Then, I have a 2-meter (6.6 feet) tall cabinet with a single continuous door and 4 hinges. I chose the 125-degree hinges for this because I had exactly 4 of them. I don’t quite understand this since the cabinet is on the left side next to a wall.

Additionally, I have 6 hinges with a 95-degree opening angle and 4 hinges with a 153-degree opening angle; the latter look quite robust. I thought the 153-degree hinges might be for the fridge/freezer unit because they are so sturdy and the fridge door needs to open wide enough to remove the drawers when the door is open. Is that correct?

The cabinet for the fridge/freezer unit has a small storage compartment above. Does this cabinet get 3 doors then?

The corner cabinet with a lazy Susan has a small panel, but I’m not sure how the door fits with it. The sink cabinet is just around the corner, actually with pull-out drawers. To the left is the corner cabinet with the lazy Susan, and forming an L-shape to the right is the sink cabinet with drawers. I don’t know how it is supposed to work with the two doors at the corner and a panel positioned exactly in the corner.

I have the kitchen in maple and also white lacquered cover panels.

I could go on, but I’m just stuck with the kitchen.
Does anyone have some tips?

Hello,

Let’s start from the beginning: the correct hole pattern for the board under the stove is specified in the board’s assembly instructions:

Hello,

thanks for the tips.

But I need to add something else. I have measured the kitchen width very precisely, from wall to wall. I gave this measurement to the kitchen consultant at Ikea Braunschweig. That’s how we planned it. Now I have looked again online at the most important assembly instructions. The corner cabinet is supposed to go on the left. I have now noticed that there is a spacer panel attached on the outside, and the next cabinet is placed against it on the right. But if I install this panel, the total kitchen width no longer fits against the wall. The panel is about 7 or 8 cm (3 inches) wide and as tall as the cabinet. If I leave it out, the kitchen fits again. Do I have to install it? Will the doors still open properly then? Or did the kitchen planner at Ikea make a mistake and not account for this spacer panel? Could the panel perhaps be made narrower?

As I said, I gave the consultant the exact width measurement. It just doesn’t end.

Hello,
please organize your questions clearly and use paragraphs.
List your cabinets one below the other, including their fittings (shelves, internal drawers, etc.), so it is easier to specify which hinges are needed for each cabinet.
The spacer board is a filler strip that must be adjusted in width. You need some distance from the wall to be able to open doors and drawers properly. If you don’t install it and just leave enough space, you will end up with a dirty corner.

I have a kitchen with cabinets on two sides. When you look into the kitchen, there is a short run on the left and a longer run on the right, forming a small L-shape. If I stand in front of the right side, at the left end is the corner cabinet with the rotating shelves that make up the L. Then comes the filler panel, followed by the first cabinet to the right. I understand having a filler panel against the wall, but there is also one next to the cabinet. Which hinges should I use there, and is it possible to shorten this filler panel?

The 125° hinges are sufficient for the cabinet.
I don’t see any reason for a filler strip on the right side between the corner cabinet and the adjacent cabinet.
A filler strip will be installed on the corner cabinet where it meets the perpendicular cabinet, allowing its doors or drawers to open fully. The required width of the filler strip depends on the position and size of the handles as well as the actual angle between the two cabinet runs.
