Good morning,

in my scope of work description, I have the following: inspection shaft including shaft cover and connection work, including 5m (16 feet) connection pipe up to the handover point on the property.

Do I understand correctly that the connection to the public sewer is included in this?

Thank you in advance.

I understood it more like that up to 5m (within the property) from the house are included at most, and this either extends to where the connection point is or the remainder is the builder's responsibility. Depending on the municipality, not everyone is allowed to connect there, and since the contractor wouldn't know what costs to expect as these can vary significantly based on the municipality's regulations, I don't think anything like this is generally included.

I see it the same way. They will build an inspection chamber and connect the house drains to it. What is still missing is the connection between the inspection chamber and the handover chamber to the public sewer system. If the handover chamber does not exist yet, then that is missing as well.
