Hello,
I am not building a new house right now, but I am renovating an old one extensively (built in 1921).
I would like to have a system for the radiator thermostats like those commonly found in many smart home systems, controllable via smartphone, tablet, and/or a central control panel on the wall.

What is important to me is that there are no batteries in the individual thermostats (or is this idea not practical / standby power consumption due to 230V conversion???).
At the moment, I have the problem that in my current apartment, one of the thermostats is constantly running out of battery... which is annoying over time.

I don’t mind whether the whole system is wired or not, although right now I am working on installing cable ducts by milling/chiseling.

Maybe one of you can help me or give some useful advice.
Best regards,
Christian Staab

If you use EnOcean-based thermostats, you don’t need batteries or wiring.

As a search aid, look for iTRV EnOcean by Micropelt.

Ok, thank you very much. Unfortunately, it seems that the ITRV from Micropelt is not available for purchase anywhere. I will look around for EnOcean thermostats.

You will probably need to contact Micropelt directly for this. It is likely because they are still relatively new.
Be careful, some enOcean thermostats require batteries, so check carefully.

Sure, I recently attended the "Gas Water Path" trade fair here in Frankfurt. Ocean seemed to occupy about half of a hall… But Micropel completely passed me by.

Can you give me an approximate price?
