ᐅ Carport/Garage Width – Is 2.50 meters sufficient, or is that too narrow?

Hello everyone,
In addition to the 4-meter-wide (13 feet) garage, we are planning a carport for a second vehicle. Together, we have a total of 6.5 meters (21 feet) available for the garage and carport, but our main focus is on the garage since we don’t have a basement and need storage space.
So, width is the limiting factor here. Unfortunately, for the carport, we can’t exceed 2.5 meters (8 feet) in width, with a length of 6 meters (20 feet). The carport will be located between the garage and the house, so it will be enclosed by walls on both sides.
Is 2.5 meters (8 feet) wide enough for a carport, and is it still reasonably practical to get in and out of the car there? Or would it be better to skip the carport altogether?
Do you have any other suggestions?
We are not very broad people in the household, and the vehicle is a Golf 7.
Thank you very much for your help.

You should provide us with a sketch by now. Where exactly is this outlet? Because the 6m (20 feet) will probably also include a storage room or something similar, right?
I agree with the previous comments about the 2.5m (8 feet); that is really quite tight, and you will likely be annoyed by such a makeshift solution over the long term. It will be difficult to get a child seat, child, etc., out without constantly banging a door against a wall.

The garage was originally planned as a boundary structure. Yes, and now? – now the garage is supposed to be set back half a meter (about 20 inches) from the boundary (how else would you interpret the now only 2.50 m (8 feet 2 inches) carport width)? – and what difference would that make for the exhaust airflow from the pump?
You’re talking about exhaust air at down to minus ten degrees Celsius (14°F), which, as is well known, sinks downwards and does not rise upwards anyway, so the carport roof does not interfere. In the 3 m (10 feet) wide carport, there should be enough airflow on the side next to the car. What exactly are you worried about if it stays as drawn – the car catching a cold?
Either there is no problem here, or I’m completely missing something.

The situation is already difficult. The air-to-water heat pump needs to vent air somewhere, the office window is, well... and 2.50 m (8.2 ft) for a carport minus 20 cm (8 inches) support posts is not ideal either. I see three main options here:
1) Build as originally planned
2) Leave out the carport entirely and possibly widen the garage (wider driveway by saving on supports, more light for the office)
3) Build a double carport with a separate storage area at the back (no garage, gain in driveway width by eliminating the garage wall)

Either there is no problem, or I’m missing something.I don’t really mind the exhaust airflow. But it does have to go somewhere.
The garage has been moved half a meter (1 foot 8 inches) away from the boundary, towards the house.
According to the main contractor, there must be a 2.5 m (8 feet 2 inches) clearance between the house wall and the garage wall because of the mentioned exhaust airflow, so it can circulate and prevent mold caused by condensation on the walls.
This means we cannot make the garage wider than 4 meters (13 feet 1 inch).
The originally planned carport is now only 2.5 meters (8 feet 2 inches) wide with this new setup. That seems very narrow to me.
And here is my question/problem: is 2.5 meters (8 feet 2 inches) wide enough for a carport, or would it be better to leave it out entirely or consider another solution?
