Dear Homeowners,

I am currently purchasing a condominium and can choose the flooring freely. Even after careful consideration, I am still undecided between carpet, laminate, or hardwood flooring. Cost is not a factor in this decision.

What does the community think? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Thank you very much for your responses.

Parquet is naturally the number one choice among flooring options. I am not a fan of carpet, and often its cleaning involves chemicals to which I am allergic. Laminate would be an alternative for cost reasons.

There is no need to think twice about this decision—of course, parquet flooring. Parquet has many advantages, as it offers a long lifespan when properly maintained. It also provides the room with the right ambiance.

I also prefer hardwood flooring, as it really makes an apartment feel cozy. If money is not an issue, I recommend oak hardwood flooring. It just looks great.

If money is not an issue, then parquet flooring is definitely my favorite. It looks great and also adds value to the home. Today, parquet comes in many varieties, and they all look good.

It’s great to be able to choose the flooring freely. Parquet flooring is definitely the king of floor coverings. I prefer oak wood, and having the floor covered with it is truly something special for me. With children, you do have to make a different choice, but that’s only for a few years, and then you can realize your own dream.
