ᐅ Carpet in the kitchen— is that a good idea?

Hello,

My girlfriend insists on installing carpet in our kitchen. I find that impractical because if something drops, it immediately leaves a stain.

How can I convince her to change her mind?

Do you have any advice?

Hi Regina,

Thank you for your tip about the coir runner. My parents have just come up with the idea of putting a rug in the kitchen as well. They find the floor too cold in winter.

Now I’m thinking about the best way to make it happen. I guess I need to convince them to go with the coir runner.

Absolutely no carpet. It loses its good appearance after a short time. We once had that crazy idea and never again. The coconut fiber runner is a good idea and can be quickly removed. It is also easier to clean than a carpet.
