ᐅ Can the mechanical ventilation system for controlled residential ventilation be installed in the shed?

Most of the time, the residential ventilation system for controlled living space ventilation is located in the utility room, basement, or attic. I did not plan for a heat recovery system, as space in the utility room is limited. However, I have a shed directly next to the planned house (wall to wall). Is there any reason not to install the ventilation system outside the house? One positive side effect would be that the device would definitely not be heard. At what point do the lengths of the ventilation ducts become a problem?

I just checked the first device that came up on Google, and it states an operating temperature range of +5°C to +40°C (41°F to 104°F). So, it needs to be frost-free. This should be feasible, if necessary with a frost guard for the few really cold nights per year (Rhineland).

Hi. Heat pump, controlled ventilation system, router, switch, electrical distribution. Inverter plus battery. So there is enough waste heat generated...The question would rather be whether it doesn’t get slightly above 40°C (104°F) in the summer...Weren’t there threads in this forum about controlled residential ventilation in the attic? It should be a similar concept. I seem to recall that some users had moisture problems and that some forum members built a separate enclosure for the device in the attic. We also initially planned to place the device in the attic, but decided against it because of the cold floor (frost/moisture).
My mechanical ventilation system is located in the attic within the warm roof. The ventilation ducts run from the insulated area into the cold zone. There, all supply and exhaust air ducts are insulated with aluminum-faced mineral wool. The outdoor air and exhaust air ducts are insulated with Armaflex.
I have no issues with moisture in the ducts.
