hi

my paint roller still has dried paint residues from the last painting job on it. Can I still use it, or would it be better to get a new roller?

best regards, oobravo-1

Hello

Have you ever soaked the roller in a paint thinner? Usually, the roller can be used again afterwards. Of course, it also depends on which type of paint you used and how long the roller has been dried out.

If you want the scooter to become usable again, you'll need plenty of warm water and even more patience. However, considering the prices for these scooters, it’s probably more practical to buy a new one. Just take this as a lesson and always wash it out immediately; that way, you can avoid such situations.

Hello oobravo,

If your paint roller has completely dried out, you can safely dispose of it. Even if you manage to remove the paint residues somehow, there will always be some paint left behind, and the next time you paint something, you might end up mixing old paint residues into the new paint. It’s better to buy a new one. I would recommend a lambswool roller; they are very good. Wash it immediately after use with warm water to prevent this from happening.

If you're taking the time to paint your walls and ceilings yourself, then please use good-quality tools! It would be a shame to waste all that effort. And if the new paint is full of dirt, then the new paint roller would have been worth it after all—it doesn’t cost that much.
