Hello,
can someone tell me how to calculate the living area in a storage room under a staircase?
And what do the two square meter values in the picture represent?

Under 2m (6.6 feet) in height is weighted at half, under 1m (3.3 feet) in height is not counted at all – these factors explain the difference in the reported floor area.

But the 2.91 sqm (31.3 sq ft) won’t be the entire staircase, right?

According to the drawing, the storage room is only located beneath the stair run at the upper floor level. This arrangement seems to fit well.
