Hello,
is there anyone here who is quite familiar with calculating a strip foundation?
The foundation is for a bungalow.

Topsoil and excavation for the foundations will be placed to the sideI assume with a minimum distance of about 1.5 m (5 feet). That should roughly work for around 400 sqm (4,300 sq ft).
Why not dispose of it right away? You probably won’t need it later and it will just be in the way, right?

Foundations are approximately 70 m³ (2,470 ft³)Excavation is only 60 m³ (2,120 ft³), which means just about a 20 cm (8 inches) layer to be removed.
Foundations 70 m³ (2,470 ft³), which means excavation about 80 cm (31 inches) deeper.
Rough calculation should fit. But in the end, it will still be more and more expensive 🙂
Also think about all the piping that the civil engineer has to install...

Excavation volume is only 60 cubic meters, meaning about a 20 cm (8 inches) soil layer to be removed.
Foundation requires 70 cubic meters, so excavation about 80 cm (31 inches) deeper.
It should roughly add up, but in the end, it will probably be more and more expensive 🙂
Also consider all the piping the civil engineer has to install... I have a slight slope, so I would use the soil to shape the terrain.
Drainage costs are about 5,000 € net, which I have accounted for separately.
This is primarily about the foundation costs here, which are quoted at 30,000 €.
I just wanted an assessment of whether that price seems reasonable.

Define where storage on the property will take place.
Otherwise, he just pushes the excavation to the side with the mini excavator --> Directly into the trench for the drainage installer.

WilderSueden10 Feb 2022 10:42A slight slope is beneficial, judging by your other threads. Accordingly, I’d suggest that removing 20cm (8 inches) of soil won’t be nearly enough, and for a 400m² (4,300 sq ft) area, a larger amount of fill will be necessary.

Soil can be placed to the side as long as it is not in the way.
I have enough space.
