Hello! Does anyone have an exterior facade made of calcium silicate bricks on their house? Compared to regular plaster and brick cladding, how do the costs differ? Are there any disadvantages that made you decide against it or that would prevent you from choosing it again? Best regards

Hello,

we are planning to build an interior wall with aerated concrete blocks and an exterior wall with facing bricks. We also discussed the option of having aerated concrete blocks on the outside, but that seemed too maintenance-intensive to us.

Our construction company said that for a town villa, an approximate surcharge of 8,000 to 10,000 would be expected for calcium silicate brick.

Sand-lime brick as an outer shell? Will it be plastered then? I can’t really imagine how something like that is supposed to look.

This is an example of how it looks, as shown in the attachment. 🙂

Ah, okay – so smaller bricks in the clinker style, all of them intact 😀
