ᐅ Cable connection or telecom connection?

Hello,
we are currently considering whether to have a cable/telephone connection installed. Our problem is that the telecom provider can only offer us a 3000 connection, while the cable connection provides 32,000, so we could get our internet/phone/TV through the cable. Now we are wondering whether we should still have a telephone connection installed or not.
What have you done? Or how would you decide?

Then I would suggest contacting the cable provider (Cable Germany???) to ask about the cost of connecting your house.

They wanted €5,500 (about $5,900) from us, so that issue was quickly settled.

For us, Unitymedia would handle the connection. Our main question is whether a telecom line is even necessary in that case. Or would you recommend not having one installed additionally?

Theoretically, you wouldn’t need the telecom provider then, but I would still be reluctant to rely solely on one provider.. 😎

If the cable connection had been cheaper for us, I would have still invested the 400€ for the telecom provider – you never know what might happen.... 😀

400 euros??? It doesn’t cost more than that? Then we’ll definitely go with this one as well, so we always have this option as a backup.

That’s the minimum price. Usually, it depends on the distance to the connection point. Just request a quote from the telecom provider.
