ᐅ Buying Tiles During the Shell Construction Phase

Hello everyone,

We received a great offer for Villeroy & Boch tiles at half price. The reason is that the batch does not exactly match the color of the regularly produced tiles and is therefore sold as a secondary color of first quality.
We need about 62 sqm plus waste and reserve, so at least 70 sqm (possibly a bit more since we won’t be able to reorder). That’s not a problem. We can get as many tiles as we want from this batch.

We are currently at the shell construction stage. The carpenter will start next week. This means we probably won’t need the tiles before May or later.
Can we store the tiles in the garage until then? The garage is also still under shell construction. It is missing the door, windows, and waterproofing of the flat roof.
Will the tiles be in the way? Are there any risks involved with storing them under these conditions?
What would you do?
22.50 €/sqm (about $24 per sq ft) for the desired Villeroy & Boch tile is definitely a strong price.

Good luck, milkie

We have now decided to go with white wall tiles everywhere after all. We simply like it better, even though it’s more common to do it differently at the moment. In a few years, something else will be in style again.
Thanks anyway for your help!
