Hello dear forum,
Could you please share any concerns you might have about whether the oak trees on the property could cause any problems?
There is no availability of plots in Potsdam, so unfortunately the price is justified.

The problem is that the trees just keep growing taller; nobody cuts down trees anymore, whether they are healthy or diseased. Every time there is a storm, there are problems because trees fall over. Here in the countryside, we now have poplars reaching 40 meters (130 feet), huge oaks, and beeches that nobody wants to cut down anymore because they are far too big. From March to September, you are not allowed to prune or fell trees. This can only be done in the winter during bad weather.
The bureaucracy here paralyzes everything. You can’t save every tree, or let every branch grow just because some environmental enthusiasts want it. Cutting down deciduous trees in winter actually has good reasons behind it and isn’t just about what some “environmental enthusiasts” want. And why wouldn’t you want to cut down big trees? That’s when it gets interesting! I’m actually looking forward to cutting down the 30-meter (100-foot) spruce on my property this October...
On the topic: With oaks, the risk of falling branches is relatively low, even when dealing with deadwood. Moreover, this can usually be spotted easily and pruned out without much difficulty.
