Hello,
I am planning to build a holiday bungalow in a recreational area. The exterior walls should have a sandstone look both on the outside and inside (like the walls in the following picture):

Since only houses with a maximum footprint of 60m² (645 sq ft) are allowed in this recreational area, I am now facing the question of how to achieve this goal in the most cost-effective way, and above all with walls as thin as possible, to avoid losing too much living space.

Building solid sandstone walls is probably the most expensive option, the most challenging from a craftsmanship point of view, and the walls would be quite thick. As an alternative, I have considered using Poroton, aerated concrete, or calcium silicate bricks for the masonry and then applying sandstone cladding.

Question: In your opinion/experience, which approach would best meet my requirements (thin walls, cost-effective)? Which masonry material would you recommend? And how is the insulation and installation of cladding handled with Poroton, aerated concrete, and calcium silicate bricks?

The bungalow will generally not be used in winter, but it should not get too warm in summer. So, very high insulation is not necessary.

Thank you very much for your tips and suggestions!
