Hello
We are new to the forum and hope to find a lot of information and some answers.

The plan is for an L-shaped bungalow with 120 m2 (1,292 sq ft), a living room separate from the kitchen (which should be at least 16 m2 (172 sq ft)), a guest room, and an attic conversion where two children’s bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower will fit.

Does anyone here happen to have a great floor plan? Do you have any suggestions on what we should pay attention to?

Best regards

Yvonne, not everyone has to bare everything here and satisfy self-proclaimed questionnaire creators.

Then the vast internet remains.
Or what do you mean: should I start planning something here now? Or link self-builders with bungalows and then get banned? How exactly is that supposed to be, the piece of bungalow?

And when I post my final design here, the original poster says: it doesn’t fit, it’s too wide. Then I make it narrower one evening, and the feedback is: now it doesn’t fit within the building envelope at the front. Then Kerstin asks: what exactly is the building envelope? The answer is: I’m not sure right now. Then Katja offers a different suggestion, just randomly. The original poster says: but we have a slope and need to build with a basement. Then I write again: why don’t you upload the zoning plan / development plan? Then you say: not everyone wants to upload the zoning plan in the forum. Then I say: do it yourself and stay away from the forum. Meanwhile, 10 pages and 50 posts have been written without any added value. Only Katja, Kerstin, and I have each spent three hours. For nothing.

This really needs to be said!

Uh, the entire web is full of floor plans – including bungalows with converted attics.
Why not just call it ground floor plus upper floor?
A house is designed based on the plot and its orientation. Where is that here? Where is the needs assessment? I only see a floor plan with a bedroom on the ground floor, is that even approved?
So please: information, information, information. Fill out the pinned questionnaire, otherwise there are 3 pages full of rambling questions from us, but without substance.

Very clever!!!

Yes, just like your question.
Read carefully and do not expect something that cannot be.

A valid question, of course, is whether someone asking about a specific house design has taken their plot of land (or their building permit / planning permission) into account. But there are also equally fundamental questions that the questionnaire does not address. Mine, for example, would be whether the original poster is aware that for the price of a 120 m² (1,290 sq ft) L-shaped bungalow, you could get about 140 to 145 m² (1,510 to 1,560 sq ft) of rectangular bungalow.

Or whether it is possible to fit a 5-room house into 120 m² (1300 sq ft)?
