Hello!
Currently, we are facing the question of windows, and I have noticed that there is glass resistant to forced entry...

Can anyone share their experience with this? Does anyone have it and can recommend it?
Or is it nonsense?

Before I can "pass through" a broken window, more damage needs to occur than just the partial breakage typically caused by a stone or something similar.
So, unless I want to risk cutting myself, I would need to take a few minutes to prepare the opening accordingly. It's certainly possible, but it would likely be too time-consuming (and dangerous) for the average burglar.

It is possible without a vapor barrier or vapor retarder; it’s not that difficult. Cover it with a felt membrane and proceed...
Of course, don’t use the smallest opening.
The most vulnerable spots are passage doors from garages into the house. A sectional garage door is not a major obstacle. You can then work calmly on the door. Next in line are patio doors...
What type of windows have you chosen for your project?

What is the exact purpose?
I will exclude burglary protection—even though some contributors here assume that.
Is it about footballs?

What is it meant to achieve? What should be prevented or supported? In what context?
Only by understanding the motivation can one determine whether it’s pointless or useful.

And then there are window break-ins. I consider those more likely than someone throwing stones through the glass. Our windows can be locked, and we always make sure to do so. The effort required is very minimal; the key is simply kept right at or next to the windows. It also works on the window frame.

The rule is simple. Anyone who wants to get in, gets in.

Often, however, they give up if it takes too long or would cause too much noise. On the other hand, you can optimize your cabin.

Our windows can be locked, and we always make sure to do so. It’s really a minimal effort—the key is simply kept right at or next to the windows. It also works on the window frame.

If the key is left next to the lock, then you don’t really need to lock it.
