Hello! Does anyone here have experience with Grundtal spots? One of our bulbs burned out, and we’ve already bought new ones, but we can’t figure out how to open the lamps. There are no screws, buttons, or any other indications on how to do it.

HELP!!!

Hello,

I don’t have the lamps myself, but I just looked at the ones mentioned on the Ikea website.
I once had lamps that looked almost identical, but they were from a hardware store – shame on me.

With those, the bulb was changed from the back – really annoying. But yours look like the glass can be unscrewed – have you tried that?

Good luck with changing the bulbs. Best regards

If these are the lamps shown in the picture, I would suggest contacting customer service and asking if you can exchange them.

Hej,

why exchange them? To install the lights, you also had to turn part of the spotlights (with glass and bulb) onto the other (mount). If you now carefully turn them in the opposite direction, you will only have the glass with the metal rim in your hand, allowing you to replace the halogen bulbs. Then screw the glass with the rim back on.

Good luck!

Hi,

why exchange them? To install the lamps, you had to rotate part of the spotlights (with glass and bulb) onto the other (mount). If you now carefully turn them in the opposite direction, you will only have the glass with the metal frame in your hand, and you can replace the halogen bulbs that way. Then screw the glass with the frame back on.

Good luck!

Yes, that’s exactly what I meant.
