JibionHello,
We are currently planning our new IKEA kitchen. Two months ago, we had to replace our washing machine and bought a washer-dryer combo. It fits perfectly in our current kitchen, but we are unsure if it will also fit in the new IKEA kitchen.
The appliance has the following dimensions: 59.5 cm (23.4 inches) wide × 53.7 cm (21.1 inches) deep × 82–90 cm (32.3–35.4 inches) high (the height is adjustable).
Our new kitchen will have an L-shape, and the washer-dryer is intended to be placed at the end of one side. We do not want to hide the appliance behind a door. The only potential issue seems to be the height, as we plan to place the appliance simply between the last cabinet carcass and a side panel. We assume the countertop above the washer-dryer would need to be secured to the wall and the side panel. Are our assumptions correct?
Another option would be to integrate the washer-dryer into a 60 × 60 × 80 cm (23.6 × 23.6 × 31.5 inches) cabinet carcass. That would be ideal since it would require less work on the plinth, and the appliance could be concealed behind a door. However, we suspect this will not work due to the appliance height.
Does anyone have experience with this or can recommend something?
Thank you very much!
Best regards,
Agustín

Yes.
A washing machine does not fit into a cabinet either in height or width.
