Hello IKEA fans!
I have planned and purchased a new METOD kitchen with RINGHULT fronts and BLANKETT handles. An ISANDE fridge-freezer combo is being used.
It is now properly installed in the METOD tall cabinet. However, when mounting the BLANKETT handles vertically on the edge of the RINGHULT front, it turns out that the fridge no longer closes properly if the BLANKETT handle sits in the gap between the RINGHULT front and the METOD carcass.
How can I solve this problem? My first idea is to mill out the carcass at the point where the handle sits, by the thickness of the handle, but of course, that looks very unattractive. Is it intended that the handle does not fit? I am quite sure that I saw the solution set up at IKEA. Did I assemble something incorrectly?
Thank you very much for your help!
Stefan

the door normally has a 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) gap from the cabinet due to the buffers. An extra half millimeter should not be a major issue. Actually, the refrigerator might just be sitting a little too deep in the cabinet if the door closes properly without a handle.
