Hello dear forum,
We are about to finalize our financing.
However, it seems that the kitchen will likely not be accepted.
Is this different from bank to bank?
We would like to include it in the main loan.
What options are available? Are there any at all?
I hope you can help.
Best regards
Steffen

What do you mean by "will not be accepted"?
Has the bank you plan to finalize with excluded co-financing for the kitchen? In that case, there aren’t many options— their conditions are their conditions.
You might be able to increase other “sweat equity” items slightly and then use that money for the kitchen. However, I would definitely discuss this honestly with your bank advisor beforehand. It depends on how they handle it. If they only release funds against receipts into the clearing account, then you will obviously have a problem with a kitchen furniture invoice. If there is a certain budget “at your free disposal,” then that could work. Some banks don’t want to see an invoice for every 20€ (around $22) spent; others do.

Not accepted means that the kitchen cannot be financed. They say it is not part of the house.
I think many people face this issue when the kitchen is not financed externally (through equity or a separate loan).
Let’s see if there are other opinions on this.

Financing through the kitchen studio is usually possible nowadays and often quite affordable. It also has the advantage that you don’t finance the kitchen over 20 years. With a home loan, you might end up paying for it along with the next built-in kitchen if you install one later.
