Hello everyone,
we have a plot of land under consideration where a basement for a single-family house was built in 2017. Construction was then halted, and currently only the basement exists. However, the slab on top of the basement is somewhat too small or does not fully meet our expectations for the layout of the ground floor.
Is it generally possible to extend the slab at this stage? Has anyone had experience with something like this?
Alternatively, we could remove the basement and start from scratch. How much would you estimate the costs for that?

From your sketch, I assume that by "floor slab" you mean the finished raw floor of the ground floor, which extends beyond the basement area. In general, I would recommend using the basement instead of demolishing it just to gain more ground floor space. Under "Information" in my profile, you can also see how to contact me by email (only a few other members do this as well).

You should decide yourself whether it is worth it.
