Hello,

after some browsing on the internet, I briefly came across an idea that I would like to pursue further, but I do not have a clear plan yet.

Our covered patio needs roof repairs. We want to take decisive action and reroof it with sandwich panels. Two sides of the patio are solidly built (one side is the house wall, the other is a wall reaching up to the roof).

The roof will now be insulated. The house wall is also insulated, and back then I built the freestanding wall from aerated concrete blocks, so it has some insulation properties as well.

It would be great if we could close off the two open sides with twin-wall polycarbonate sheets, which also offer some insulation, mounted on a rail system. This way, the patio could be heated during winter, and the panels could be slid aside on the rail system in summer.

Does anyone know of a system that could be used for this? Our main concern is that the closed wall prevents wind from blowing through. The gaps between the twin-wall sheets should be sealed with gaskets or similar. It would also be ideal if the rails and profiles have some kind of thermal break to prevent condensation from running down when heating in winter.

Thank you,
