Good day,
I have decided to build a house entirely by myself.
Since the house should not be very expensive, I have chosen the timber frame construction option.
I only have a few questions:
Is there anyone else I might have forgotten?
Now briefly about my house:
Timber frame construction
Single story
No basement
Flat roof
About 140 sqm (1507 sq ft) total - so 12 x 12 m (39 x 39 ft)
This is what it will look like (Unfortunately, I am not allowed to insert links here because of a 200 Euro fine).
I already have a plot of land in view.

I only have a few questions:
- Am I allowed to build a house completely on my own without a construction company in Germany? (I have no formal qualifications but plenty of experience with house building)
- Is an architect absolutely necessary, or is it possible without one?
- Is a structural engineer absolutely required?
- Do I definitely need a soil tester / geotechnical engineer?
Is there anyone else I might have forgotten?

So, has anyone actually completed the whole process? This topic has been inactive for a few years; this is an attempt to revive it... I plan to build almost entirely by myself, but not that large—more like a tiny house of 60sqm (645 sqft), 6x10m (20x33 ft) with a flat roof.
Regarding the topic: Except for one person, no one has contributed anything useful... People, read carefully what is actually needed... Statements like "you can’t build everything yourself because you can’t be an expert in all areas" are not true if your hands are skilled in the right places and you’re not too lazy to read some DIN standards/regulations and watch a few videos on YouTube. THEN there is nothing standing in your way. If you don’t trust yourself, just forget it, but if you can offer advice and practical help, go ahead—that’s what the main topic is about, not the discussion about whether someone is skilled enough to see it through...

And you dig this up again to claim that you can build houses by reading DIN standards and watching YouTube videos. Sorry, then why do professions exist that require an apprenticeship or years of study? I’m closing this now before any more nonsense appears. If someone wants to contribute sensibly, the topic can be reopened. Please contact a moderator for that.
