Hi

I want to build a wall. The wall blocks are made of colored concrete blocks. I have already constructed a foundation 80 cm deep (31.5 inches).
My question is which material I should use to connect the first row of blocks to the foundation. People casually say to "set it in mortar," but what exactly should I use? I think it should be a product based on trass.
Please provide a precise product description.

Good morning,
take a look at the manufacturer’s website for your stone. There are usually technical details about installation. You might find more precise instructions there on how to lay the stones.

It’s not only a question of which material to use but also how long and how high the wall should be. Because that determines how the construction must be designed. You don’t want the wall to collapse at the first gust of wind.

The manufacturer only provides information about bonding the courses of blocks but nothing about the foundation or the first row of blocks. The blocks are made of colored concrete. The wall should be 5m (16 feet) long and 1.80m (5 feet 11 inches) high. So it will cover several square meters and must withstand wind loads accordingly.

I just spoke with a landscaper who recommended a masonry mortar to me?!
