This year, we built a carport with a wooden frame, clad on the outside with lap siding except for the top 30 cm (12 inches), which were closed off with Plexiglas for light. Inside, it is lined with OSB boards, and the roof is made of steel trapezoidal sheets with an anti-condensation fleece. Now we want to convert part of it into a separate storage room. At our previous home, we had the problem that this storage area often became damp (the paving slabs were always very dark from moisture in wet weather, and everything stored there had some sort of condensation moisture on the surfaces).
Are there any tips to prevent this, so that storage cases with cordless drills and angle grinders can be kept there without concern? For example, could a vapor barrier with insulation and an internal OSB lining be installed under the trapezoidal sheets in the room?
There will be a door on the inside and one on the outside.
