I am looking for the original serial number of the Bosch dishwasher that is sold under the name Diskad at IKEA.
I cannot find it using the number SBE6494Z0E/01 that I found online.
Could someone please provide information on this?
A big thank you in advance.

Thank you, but I can’t find them under that term either.

hampshire30 Dec 2019 18:16You have found the E-number (product number). Together with the FD-number (manufacturing number), these uniquely identify your appliance.
Identical appliances from BSH (Bosch-Siemens-Household Appliances) sold under different names will have a different E-number as well.
Why do you need to compare it to Bosch?
For spare parts, for example, you already have all the necessary information.

I just wanted to check if the Bosch device can be purchased cheaper anywhere than at IKEA.

hampshire30 Dec 2019 19:04A comparable model from Bosch is the SMV46NX03E, which even has the same control panel. The list price is €969, with street prices below €500. The IKEA dishwasher costs €749.
An advantage with IKEA is the 5-year warranty, which can possibly be purchased additionally from the retailer.
What I would pay attention to: user reviews (tests, forums), basket layout, noise levels, energy and water consumption.
However, I get the impression that there is a lot of hype about "features" in dishwashers. Whether it cleans well or not, no one really knows in advance; that only becomes clear during use.
In the end, most people tend to use just one setting anyway—so whether it has three, five, or thirteen options doesn’t really matter.
