Hello,
we are currently deciding whether to do more of the painting work ourselves or to outsource it, and are considering getting a Bosch paint spraying system.
Has anyone had experience using it (preferably the slightly more expensive 5000 model) with water-based paints?
Reviews vary widely. Some call it a “great device,” while others say “the paint mist spreads everywhere” and “the airflow blows all your protective sheets and fleece around the entire room.”
Opinions range from “huge labor saver” to “complete waste of money.” Some say “fine for one room, but I wouldn’t use it for an entire house,” while others say “not worth it for a single room, but better for a whole house.” …
Can anyone shed some light on this?

I can’t say anything about Bosch. But: We (or rather my wife) plastered the entire house using a Wagner paint spraying system W890 and tinted Knauf EasyPutz 0.50 mm (0.02 inches) on Q2 plaster.

Yes, you have to tape everything off carefully, but there isn’t much going on during the shell construction phase. I don’t know how well it works with emulsion paint. Regular wood stain definitely works.

I can't say anything about Bosch either. We will probably order the Wagner W950 Flexio.

I would definitely recommend painting by hand. You’ll find many different opinions, but it’s important to consider that people have varying levels of DIY skills.
With a brush and roller, you can work more carefully, experiment, and learn as you go. It’s a good idea to start in secondary rooms first...

Hello, thanks a lot! So basically, the Easyputz was applied over the Q2 finish?
