Hello everyone,

Our ceramic fixtures are mostly set, and now we are moving on to the faucets. We want to have an overall white/gray color scheme in our house with black accents (lighting, stair railings, chair legs, etc.). The idea came up to continue this in the bathroom with black faucets.

There are many different opinions online, ranging from "never again black faucets" to "I’m pleasantly surprised by black faucets." Does anyone have black faucets and can constructively share the pros and cons or their personal experience?

The main argument is usually that water spots are much more visible on black than on chrome; can you confirm this? In other words, do black faucets require more frequent cleaning due to water spots compared to chrome faucets?

We would be very grateful to hear about your experiences with black faucets.

Best regards

You don’t need to have everything that looks cool at first glance.
If you continue like this, you will have to enlarge all the windows because your designs absorb the light, as with dark kitchens!

But the toilet won’t be in the kitchen... :p
Yes, we also want to keep the sink and the bathtub white. However, the recess for the toilet will get yellow metro tiles, and the black toilet will then create a cool contrast... we think... 😀 🤨

Oh, and the kitchen will be rather bright...

And the rest? Color-wise, we’re going for a 1950s vibe 😉

I was once told that I was born a few decades too late...
The rest of the bathroom is mostly gray with a few accents, and the shower is colorful again.

No nonsense: a mix like this is rather disastrous!
There is no clear guideline in the tile design or the sanitary fittings design – you should follow one consistent plan; otherwise, it becomes disharmonious.
It looks like you want a bit of everything. That doesn’t work.

I find a black toilet with the rest in white to be only half successful. You really need to be careful with that, otherwise it can come across as intentional but not well executed. Best regards
