Hello everyone,

I am planning to assemble a Billy shelf soon and am looking for good and reliable assembly videos that explain the process clearly and in detail. So far, I have only found short clips or poorly narrated guides that skip important steps or do not show exactly how to fit the parts together correctly.

My question is: Where can I find well-illustrated Billy shelf assembly videos, ideally with helpful tips? Are there any recommendations for channels, websites, or forums that present such content professionally and usefully?

If anyone has personal experience with specific resources, I would appreciate links and suggestions.

In addition to videos, I also recommend downloading the official IKEA assembly instructions PDF.

Thanks for the tip. I wasn’t aware that the PDF assembly instructions are available for download on IKEA’s website. I will definitely take a look at it alongside the videos.

Just a quick reminder: Pay close attention to the order of the components and screws during assembly. Mistakes here can cause a lot of trouble later on.

One more tip in case anyone has trouble with the back wall: Sometimes it helps to insert the nails slightly angled and tap them in with gentle pressure. Patience and a bit of force are needed—don’t worry if it doesn’t fit perfectly right away.

Last but not least: When attaching the shelf to the wall, be sure to use the appropriate brackets and anchors, especially if the shelf is tall or located near children. Safety comes first.

Very important note – thanks for the reminder. I will pay close attention to this during installation.

Summary:

- Official IKEA instructions as a basis
- Detailed videos (e.g., "Furniture Assembly Experts") for uncertainties
- PDFs and forums as supplementary resources
- Pay attention to wall mounting

This makes assembly manageable and safe.
