I think only a lawyer can help you with this, for example with a report for burglary or trespassing and for property damage. You won’t be able to do much on your own. I wouldn’t accept just a few dollars in compensation. The best solution would be to restore everything to its original state—I definitely don’t want to see any nuts or screws in my apartment.
