Steven Hirsch9 Oct 2012 12:51Hello,
I want to buy an apartment. There will be construction work involved. I especially want to improve the energy performance. First, I have looked into insulation. However, I would also like to upgrade the heating system.
Therefore, my question is: which energy systems would you describe as the most efficient? I live in a city, so some technologies, such as solar panels, are difficult to implement.
Technologies, brands, and any recommendations are welcome.
Best regards,
Steven Hirsch

Hello,
there are certainly several heating systems that could be suitable for you. I would definitely recommend condensing boilers, as they are significantly more efficient and thus help save heating energy. In terms of investment costs, a gas condensing boiler is certainly advisable; the lower initial costs offer a clear advantage compared to other heating systems.

How can gas condensing technology influence the energy demand? ;-) With gas condensing boilers, consumption is always higher than demand!!! With heat pumps as heat generators, it is the other way around! Erik_IEU schrieb:

The connection fees alone often make gas condensing boilers impossible! Completely justified and understandable! Sometimes, the charges demanded by certain energy suppliers are outrageous. Only foolish people agree to that! Who buys the shopping cart just because they want to shop at that discount store? 😀

NB: Your promotional efforts are fine, but hopefully the end users are not as naive as assumed! 🙂
