Hello everyone,
We have installed Berker’s S1 series in our house. Now we have a toddler crawling around. I’ve used the usual outlet covers for safety, but I find them a bit inconvenient when, for example, you want to plug in the vacuum cleaner. They don’t hold the plug as securely, so it often slips out.
Berker also offers special childproof outlets. Does anyone have those? Do they completely replace the need for these outlet covers? I would like to replace a few outlets if the protection is sufficient. Thanks.

However, with improper use of a socket with shutters, risks to life and limb can never be completely ruled out.
Even if those adhesive covers are ugly or annoying, I would never compromise my child’s safety for the sake of convenience. The emphasis is on "risks to life and limb can never be completely ruled out." The main dangers for toddlers at home are not primarily from sockets that are 100% secured. There are many far more dangerous situations that people don’t even consider.Personally, I consider every sofa to be much more dangerous than a socket equipped with enhanced protection against contact.

There are many much more dangerous situations that people are often unaware of. Of course, not every child is fascinated by electrical outlets, and there are many "hazards" around the home. Unfortunately, our little boy is very interested in plugs and sockets. He always tries to insert plugs into outlets. Personally, I feel safer when proper childproof covers are installed. A friend's daughter was never interested in outlets but was always trying to climb onto chairs instead.
