Inspired by @Alessandro, I’m starting my own house building thread here. For several months now, I have been an active reader, witnessing many interesting, exciting, and sometimes difficult experiences in this forum. I’ve learned a lot and shared in many joys, anxieties, and challenges.
We bought our plot at the end of 2016, planned extensively, and then waited even longer for the building permit / planning permission – unfortunately for over a year. By now, we have been working on the interior finishing for several weeks, and due to COVID-19, this will probably take even longer.
Here are some photos of the model and the original floor plans:

Ah, so that’s why the Austrians think they aren’t the quirkiest among the three German-speaking peoples.

@tomtom79 You must request the building law decision within 30 days of its publication to have the right to appeal. In addition, you must be directly affected and have a legitimate interest. Once the building permit / planning permission is granted, the 30-day appeal period begins. If the legal requirements regarding distances and heights are met, there is no chance of a successful appeal, but it may not make you very popular with the new neighbor...
Publication ... decision ... appeal – I could laugh every time about these three completely different German terms, no matter from which one of the three you look at the other two.
That really tops it again, of course.
