Hello,

we are currently planning our bathroom and are wondering whether we should tile the bathroom walls all the way up or only halfway.

Bathroom: approximately 8 m² (86 sq ft)
Guest WC: approximately 1.8 m² (19 sq ft)

Halfway would be about 1.20 m (4 feet) high.

Yes, the guest toilet door opens outward.

hmm with your solution, there will be "ugly" tile edges since the tiling won't stop in a corner but rather in the middle of the room.

Our current options are:

1. Tiling up to the ceiling
2. No tiles on the door side and/or the opposite wall (only baseboards)
3. Accept the gap at the door

For the floor plan, I would choose your second option.

Then probably both sides will leave out the tiles, right? Only tiling on the door side would probably look strange, wouldn’t it?

Our tile colors:

Floor tiles: wood effect
Baseboard = floor tiles
Wall tiles: white with a subtle texture

What is base slab? The baseboards? Or the top of the pre-wall installation?

Oh, and yes, I would only tile the wall with the washbasin and toilet, not the others.

Sorry, I meant the pre-wall installation frame behind the sink and the toilet at 1.20 m (4 feet).

So just to clarify, you would tile the wall or the pre-wall installation up to that height (behind the sink and toilet) and not tile the door wall or the opposite wall?

To summarize again: tile the short walls up to 1.20 m (4 feet) and not tile the long walls at all?

I would rather tile that together with the wall tiles.

Yes.
