Hello! :--) We are currently planning the renovation of our bathroom (existing property). I have already created an initial draft but am still looking for inspiration. This draft is quite close to what we want, but what bothers me is the window opposite the shower wall. In short, we would like a walk-through shower accessible from both sides and a double vanity as shown here. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fit this more elegantly into the space or any alternative ideas? The location of the toilet is flexible. Everything will be on one level in the renovated state. We also want to build a small shower bench directly on the marked wall, which is not shown here because it can’t be depicted. I’m looking forward to your suggestions!

I told you
But I don’t understand how the toilet can be moved. Where is the drainage point???The toilet is currently exactly where it is shown in the latest drawing—bottom left. Well, I thought we could relocate the toilet wherever we want since we are gutting everything anyway. However, from a cost perspective, it obviously makes sense to plan it back where it is now. If the double-sided entrance isn’t feasible, then it’s a no-go anyway.
Technically, I am a complete layperson, but this seems logical to me: it is difficult to install a drain pipe in front of a door.
You need to be able to lead wastewater to the drain, and the shorter the distance, the better. But you simply cannot do that in front of a door.
That is why the toilet should be located on the right side.
Having light behind (the washbasin) is also not advisable.

Hello everyone,
I’m new here… We are currently renovating a condominium from the ground up. Unfortunately, the bathroom is small (2.3 m long x 1.9 m wide) (7.5 ft x 6.2 ft). The shower will be walk-in (without a recessed shower tray, fully tiled). Originally, we also considered a glass panel that would be open on one side. However, due to the narrow entrance and access area, that won’t work after all.
An alternative would be a folding glass screen or a shower rod with a high-quality shower curtain, which could also serve as a visual highlight.
What do you think?
Best regards
