Hello,
I have been reading along here for some time and have already been able to implement some tips. Now I have a question and I hope you can help me. Our construction will start at the beginning of June and the planning is almost finished. The entire floor plan is set, but our bathroom is still causing me some headaches. It would be great if you could take a look. I am grateful for any help.
Oh, and the bathroom is only intended for my husband and me, the children have their own. The dimensions are 4.10 m by 4 m (13 ft 5 in by 13 ft 1 in), and it is located on the east side.

I like Jochen’s L-shaped design.

Between the shower and the toilet, there is a strip of windows.
I understand the concern about the splash zone, but I believe the distance of 2 meters (6.6 feet) is sufficient to avoid any splashing.

Hello Manu,
Unfortunately, I am unable to open Jochen's L-solution. What could be the reason for this?

A PDF file sometimes needs to be downloaded and opened with a reader (primarily Acrobat). As always 😉

It's not just a matter of putting up a shelf.

I would be bothered by the fact that with your current design, there is hardly any natural light at the sinks (you are blocking the light for yourself).
For example, you could place the sinks along the top wall, the toilet along the bottom wall (in the right corner). Create an L-shape from the right next to the light strip towards the left exterior wall. And put the bathtub roughly in the middle of the room in front of that.
I would have liked to visualize this for you, but I am currently on the move. I hope you understand what I mean.
