Hello,

I’m struggling a bit with our bathroom layout in the basement. The room is actually quite large, but I’m not happy with the arrangement of the sanitary fixtures—it doesn’t seem very attractive or functional. Do you, Vorlauf., or anyone else have other ideas? The door can still be moved. Regarding ventilation, I’m not sure if it might be better to place the shower near Vorlauf.?

Thanks in advance

With a cabinet about 40x80 cm (16x31 inches). In the shower area, a shelf at a convenient height for all shower gels, shampoos, etc., so they don’t constantly sit in a puddle of water.

If you move the door slightly further to the left as per the plan, a towel radiator can fit behind the door.

What is the actual function of the bathroom? If it is the emergency bathroom 1c, then perhaps the 90% solution is sufficient.

Notbad 1c? I don’t quite understand, and what does 90% solution mean? Hmm.
In general, the whole space should be able to be used as a granny flat / secondary apartment in case of emergency or long term use, for example for the parents-in-law. Therefore, I am looking for a good solution since the connections need to be prepared accordingly. I quite like the solution suggested by kbt09.
Initially, the rooms will be used as a party room and guest room / office.

Well, if it’s for parents-in-law or similar, then this solution is quite suitable. It can be done with a low-profile shower tray or even a walk-in shower.

There should also be enough space, both around the toilet and for comfortable access to the shower.

If the bathroom is used only once a year, you might consider the standard solution without risk of additional costs.
A built-in shower without a shower tray might be somewhat more expensive, depending on the provider.
However, if the bathroom is actually going to be used, I think Kerstin’s suggestion is a good one.

I would implement it as suggested by @kbt09 and not make the room any narrower. This way, it will still be easy to access with a walker or similar aid.
