Watcher7818 Mar 2016 07:42Hello,
I’m struggling a bit with our bathroom layout in the basement. The room is actually quite large, but I’m not happy with the arrangement of the sanitary fixtures—it doesn’t seem very attractive or functional. Do you, Vorlauf., or anyone else have other ideas? The door can still be moved. Regarding ventilation, I’m not sure if it might be better to place the shower near Vorlauf.?
Thanks in advance

Watcher7818 Mar 2016 08:46Sorry, I actually wanted to upload the entire basement floor plan as well 🙂.
The bathroom is 2 meters (6.6 feet) wide, which is not shown on the floor plan. I don’t mind if it becomes a bit narrower, that way the adjacent room gains some space. I think the window has to stay almost as it is, maybe just a few centimeters (inches) smaller. Not much can be changed there.

Watcher7818 Mar 2016 09:33I had also thought about something like a built-in shower. What I find unfortunate is that there is no longer any space left to place a cabinet. And this even though the room is not exactly small.

It's a pity that there is no longer space to place a wardrobe, even though the room is not exactly small. If you want to fit a wardrobe, you can move the washing machine back to the other side of the wall and place a wardrobe in the corner above it.
Alternatively, use a washing machine base cabinet.
The layout drawn by @kbt09 has the advantage that you can still reduce the room width by about 20 cm (8 inches) quite comfortably. However, this will make it tight for the wardrobe 🙄
