Since we are now gradually starting the construction phase, we would also like to finalize the bathroom design soon. We have already rotated the bathtub and toilet in all directions and are struggling to make further progress. Do you have any suggestions for improving the bathroom?

The bathtub could possibly be replaced with a Duravit Paiova 5. To the left of the washbasin, we currently planned a kind of mirror (mosaic).

Floor plan of a bathroom: bathtub on the left, toilet top right, washbasin on the right, door at the bottom.

Dimensions and explanations would be helpful.

The room measures 2.75m x 4.42m (9 ft x 14 ft 6 in).

The bathtub is approximately 1.8m x 1.3m (6 ft x 4 ft 3 in).

The original wish was that the toilet should not be visible directly from the door, and that it should not be permanently in view from the bathtub. However, neither of these now seems to be a top priority for us.

We would like a bit more storage space than just the vanity cabinet and the two small tall cabinets.

We have been wondering whether the view from the bathtub matters. Should it face into the room, or could it look onto a wall? Currently, it faces the shower/door area, which doesn’t seem very appealing to us anymore.

So, have you measured the window side and the parapet height? After all, you want to place a toilet there. Is the window movable or can its position be changed, for example, on one of the longer walls? What about the door position—can it be moved, or what are the wall dimensions there?

The wall opening measures 1.8m x 0.8m (5 ft 11 in x 2 ft 7 in), with a sill height of 1.32m (4 ft 4 in). The exact window layout and lateral position can still be adjusted but must remain on this wall. The door can also be moved sideways; currently, the layout is 1.15m - 0.9m - 0.7m (3 ft 9 in - 3 ft 0 in - 2 ft 3 in).

What kind of structure is shown at the top of the plan there?
