Hello forum,

attached is our current bathroom layout...

Floor plan of a living space with hallway and furniture, dimensions (hallway 15.18 m²)

Somehow, I am not completely satisfied with it, but I can’t come to a final decision myself either.

I would be very grateful for any ideas or suggestions.

Regards,
Christian

Hello,

we are also in the middle of planning the floor layout.

I just moved everything around playfully. I’m not saying it’s the optimal solution, but sometimes a fresh perspective helps to spark new ideas. Would it be an option to move the door outwards in front of the staircase?

Then, entering: sink and straight ahead the shower. Depending on the design of the shower (wall/glass), you would have daylight from two window directions at the shower. The toilet could then be placed against the lower wall, and the bathtub next to it. This way, the toilet would be in a corner, and you could create a visual barrier with either the shower or the bathtub – the window would still be close by.

Kind regards!
Thank you for your feedback, but moving the door outwards is not really a solution we would like.

Take a look online at Villeroy & Boch or Duravit. They have a 3D bathroom planner that is very easy and quick to use.
With it, you can get a better idea of how the bathroom will look later.
We used it as well.

Thanks, I already tried it, but I still can’t really come to a conclusion with it…..

You want a wide double sink and a large shower separate from a bathtub, plus the toilet in the bathroom. On top of that, it should look good and be functional. Naturally, you won’t easily come to an agreement because the bathroom is simply too small for your requirements. With some compromises, though, it can turn out really well.

What should I compromise on?

Thanks, Kaho674, I think that turned out quite well.

As long as a walk-in shower is a must, there aren’t many options left. Unfortunately, it makes the narrow side of the room even narrower. I would avoid it. There isn’t enough space to rotate the T layout. Not really:

Then doors would be needed. That’s quite unusual, but some do it as well.

Floor plan of a bathroom: shower on the left, toilet on the left, sink in the middle, bathtub/shower on the right.
