I
ivenh0Hello everyone,
we are in the middle of the detailed planning phase and want to finalize the bathrooms. Since the shell construction starts in 3 weeks, time is running out.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions to improve the layout of the two bathrooms?
Here is my planning:
Guest/Bathroom on the ground floor
- Laundry chute in the corner
- WC niche
- Walk-in shower with bench and niche for shower gels, etc.
- Washbasin aligned with the window

Bathroom on the upper floor
- TV on the upper wall
- Laundry chute integrated into a low cabinet/bench
- WC in a niche with a window for ventilation
- Walk-in shower
- Freestanding bathtub with shelf on the T-wall
- Washbasin aligned with the window
- Enough space for an additional cabinet
- Possibly heated towel rail on the lower wall

Regards

I find these sketches really confusing; there are numbers everywhere that don’t match the dimensions. The bathroom on the ground floor is still somewhat understandable, but I’m lost with the bathroom upstairs. How long is the bathtub? What is the yellow horizontal line in the shower? What is the blue area with the yellow box? There are way too many numbers…
Maybe you could delete these Halox P, and then some of the numbers would disappear.

Bathroom on the ground floor: I would swap the shower and toilet because I don’t like it when you open the door and immediately see the toilet... Also, you would need to use frosted glass for the window, otherwise everyone can see you while you are showering.
I don’t quite understand the plan for the upper floor. What is the yellow area to the right of the bathtub? And is the laundry chute located inside the shower? Does it then run continuously through the bathroom on the ground floor? Because on the ground floor it is on the exterior wall, but not on the upper floor?

Then I don’t understand where the shaft is supposed to be... in the red box on the left??? Or the yellow one at the top right??? Please label it clearly... (-:
Your architect seems to have put some thought into what they did...
The bathroom on the ground floor was already drawn so that the shower is not in front of the window.

The dimensions on the plans are for the shell construction stage, meaning ceiling openings, built-in spotlights, etc. The yellow horizontal element in the shower is the drainage for the bathtub and shower.
The bathtub is currently 1.75m (5 feet 9 inches) long — which is probably too small, but it can easily be extended to 2m (6 feet 7 inches) along the T-wall.
The blue box represents a TV. Below it, a laundry chute (yellow, ceiling opening) will be integrated into a lowboard.

I don’t quite understand the upstairs plan — what is the yellow area to the right of the bathtub? And the laundry chute is inside the shower? Does it run straight through the bathroom on the ground floor? Because on the ground floor it is next to an outside wall, but upstairs it is not?We also considered swapping the toilet and shower on the ground floor. However, we prefer not to have the laundry chute (which leads to the basement) next to the toilet, but rather at the end of the shower.
As for the window, we would do the same if we swapped the shower’s position. We will definitely not use clear glass here. The situation with the laundry chute is a bit confusing because the upper floor projects about 1m (3 feet 3 inches) beyond the footprint. You can see the wall layout on the ground floor by the dashed line.
